Scientific forum
Sharing of knowledge and experience amongst the scientists and technologists is a vital part of scientific research. NAST plans a national level conference every three to four years in order to bring together hundreds of scientists and technologists to share their knowledge and research findings. This is a regular periodic forum where the whole gamut of S&T aspects are reviewed, deliberated and discussed at length. The Academy organized the Fourth National conference on Science and Technology in 2004. The conference was inaugurated by then King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. Nobel Laureate Prof. Richard R Ernst from Switzerland had delivered the Keynote Address in the conference.
Similarly, seminars, workshops, symposia and training programs at national, regional and international levels are organized to provide opportunity `to S&T professionals and stakeholders involved in the development process. So far NAST has had the honor of bringing Nobel Laureates Prof. Abdus Salam, Prof. William Anderson, Prof. Klaus Von Klitzig, and other eminent personalities to share their experiences with the scientific community of Nepal .
